Did you know that canvas tarps come in handy for more than just one purpose? Although you may think of them as covers for storage items, there are a lot of other things that just about anyone can do with them if they want to.

1. Use It With Your Tent

If you enjoy camping, you have already probably invested some money into getting a good tent. The last thing you would want is to accidentally damage your tent by placing it directly on top of stones, sticks and other rough items. If you place a few canvas tarps on the ground first, you have something to protect your tent from getting damaged. Simply place the tent right on top of the tarp while setting it up.

2. Cover Belongings While You Paint the Home

Instead of hiring professional painters to paint rooms in your home, you may have decided to do the job yourself. It could get a bit messy when you are working with different colors, paintbrushes and paint rollers. Instead of accidentally getting some of the paint on your valuable furniture, you can keep all of those items protected by placing a few canvas tarps over them. Leave them on until the paint is completely dry.

3. Protect a Table While Doing Crafts

If you have children living with you, they may find joy in doing crafts at the kitchen table. While you probably want to encourage them to be as artistic as possible, you may worry a bit about them destroying your expensive kitchen table. Instead of keeping them from doing the crafts, place a tarp down over the table. If they make a mess, you do not have to worry about it getting all over the place.

4. Shield Yourself From the Sun or Rain

Canvas tarps are great to have when you are planning a barbecue. Even though you may have planned everything out ahead of time, the weather does not always cooperate. If it is a bit too sunny or even raining outside, you can still cook on your grill for your guests without ruining the food.

5. Temporarily Cover a Roof

Having trouble with a leaky roof? Although a tarp is not a permanent solution, it does work as a temporary solution. Place it down on the roof to cover holes or any other damage until you can have contractors come out to take care of the problem.

These are five of the neat things you can do with canvas tarps. If these ideas inspire you, it may be a good idea to get at least one.
