This sanctuary area situated 2500 metres above sea level also goes by the name – Mini Switzerland of India. While the scenic beauty and picturesque locale of Chopta promises to cater to your aesthetic needs, the terrain is just perfect for adventure buffs.

Chopta located on the road connecting Gopeshwar with Guptkashi and as such, it is quite accessible. Tungnath Mandir, Chandrashila, Deoria Tal are a few most popular tourist spots in Chopta.

If you plan for an exciting holiday along with your family, it’s all charted out for you already. Go camping and · Bedni Bugyal Trek: its beauty can mostly be seen during spring season when wild high altitude flowers and herbs are in full bloom. The virgin hayfield welcomes the visitors.   • Bisurital Trek: It is located in middle portion of Mandakini valley on Alpine region. Chopta trekking is incomplete without it. Total trek is of 60 kilometre from both sides. Highest elevation point is Bisuri Dhar. Except snowfall, you can enjoy crystal clear weather. While trekking in Chopta you will experience dense forests, rivers, rivulets, streams, waterfalls, alpine meadows and rare wildlife etc. while crossing. Gangotri greater Himalayan ranges are just in hand distance from Bisurital.
  • Kedarnath Vasuki Tal Trek: Situated at an altitude of 3584 metre. People never miss the chance to offer their prayers to Lord Shiva while trekking in Chopta region, as the splendid temple of Lord Shiva is at the base of kedarnath peak. In inner radius of 1.5 kilometres Vasuki Tal Lake with crystal clear water can spellbind you.
  • Nandi Kund Trek Bansi Narayan temple can also be viewed from here. Kalpeshwar is the favourite spot of sages who want to meditate.
  • Pan Wali Kantha Trek: Trekking in Chopta will give you the sense of spirituality. This trek is situated on south western ridge of Kedarnath region. Gangotri also takes its course from Panwali Kantha Trek. People bow here as it is of great respect for Hindu spirituality.
  • Pindari Glacier Trek: It is situated in Kumaon region which is waiting to be discovered. The most favourite trekking Kumaon region of Chopta Trekking is Pindari Glacier trek. This trail takes you through some of the most spectacular landscape one can ever hope to see.
  • Valley of Flowers Trek: This trekking in Chopta has the largest collection of wildflower species. Created by nature itself, the beauty of the path is enhancing by the river flowing in the vicinity overlooked by towering Rataban peak in background. Bhyundar valley is known as the playground of fairies and Nymphs. According to legend of Ramayan, Hanumanji collected Sanjeevani herb to revive Lakshman from this valley.
