You are not expecting to have the same body even after pregnancy. Well if you are then you are going to be little disheartened to know the hard truth. Best is to ready yourself for some hard body changes and understand what works. Read on to know what and why of post delivery body changes.

You still look pregnant

Unfortunate but true even after delivering baby you still look pregnant and there is a reason. During pregnancy the uterus goes through intense pressure. It results into reshaping it for good and it’s take a while after pregnancy to get back to original size. It is common to take at least 6 weeks by uterus to get back to normal size after pregnancy. Even after its deflation you can have problem of pooch due to various other conditions like constipation and stretched-out abdominal wall.

You can’t pee.

You rush to bathroom and just left startled for nothing. Understand the working of normal pee cycle first. Whenever your bladder is filled the nerves in the area send signal to your brain and feel the urge to pee. During pregnancy due to long labor or c-section the nerves of that area are traumatized for time being and they go rouge.

The result that lingering weird feeling to pee that can be termed as a false alarm! Also other problems like swelling around urethra can block urine flow leading to same problem.

Much blood during periods

After giving birth the blood flow during periods can be tremendous. You have to keep in terms with such large flow of blood for the first time after giving birth as it is normal. It can be very alarming situation for you but stay put. Pelvic muscles go through a lot of trauma and stress as a result they are worn out resulting into excessive bleeding and sometimes urine leakage. Usually it can last up to for 6 weeks and more.

Body muscles ache all time

Having delivered a baby is like successfully competing in an athletic event that puts stress on every possible muscle in your body. Laboring is more intense for first time mothers and it’s only going to get harder. According to Dr.McDonald says. "You’re effectively doing marathon-level work, and most of us don’t have the training for that."

Simple solution is to use painkiller it will reduce the pain easily.

You’re still having contractions

Many women have witnessed contractions even after delivering baby. As the expanded uterus shrinks back to its normal size you can eventually experience some severe contractions. For some women the after delivery contractions are more painful than the ones they experience during labor. The pain can be intense especially for breast feeding mothers. It is because breast feeding releases hormones that result into uterus contraction.

Most of the major aftershocks occur within 48 hours of delivery. However you still can experience some minor contractions several weeks after delivering the baby.

These are some post delivery body changes that you may witness. Gear up yourself psychologically as they are just temporary and will decline with time.
