Islamophobia ain't a good look on you, Miss Puerto Rico.

Destiny Velez, who competed in this year's Miss America contest representing Puerto Rico, has been suspended indefinitely from her duties due to her anti-Muslim comments on Twitter.

When filmmaker Michael Moore tweeted a viral meme of himself holding a sign that said "We Are All Muslim" in front of Trump Towers in New York City, she immediately responded with some seriously f-cked up comments.

"All what Muslims have done is provided oil & terrorize this country & many others!!!!" she wrote, according to The Huffington Post. "All they do is build their mosques, feel offended by American values and terrorize innocent Americans and plant gas stations."

"There's NO comparison between Jews, Christians & Muslims. Jews nor Christians have terrorizing agendas in their sacred books," she added. "If we are all the same then Muslims need to take off their napkins off of their heads cuz I feel offended by it."

Her twitter account has since been deleted, but that didn't stop Puerto Ricans (and everyone else) from looking at her like:

The hashtag #NoNosRepresentan ("You Don't Represent Us") and #Verguenzaagena (Embarrassment) started trending in Puerto Rico, according to Morocco World News.

In a recent comment from Miss America Puerto Rico organization on their official Facebook page, the organization "feels that her words do not represent the integrity and esteem of [the] program."

"Miss Velez's actions were in contradiction to the organization, and therefore as a consequence of her actions, she has been suspended indefinitely," it added. "The Miss Puerto Rico Organization will not tolerate any actions or behavior contrary to the Miss Puerto Rico Organization."

The statement also included an quote from Velez, where she apologizes to anyone she's offended.

"I am first and foremost an #UpStander and as such I stand up against bullying," she said. "The last thing I wanted to do was to bully anyone. Again, I apologize to anyone who felt offended with my words."

As a Puerto Rican woman, this breaks my heart at the same time as it enrages me. As Latinos, we all know first-hand what it's like to have our culture associated negative stereotypes. Shout out to Miss Puerto Rico Organization for keeping their contestants in check and not supporting ignorance.
