Wasaga Beach in Ontario, Canada is the world’s longest freshwater beach, stretching over 14km (8.5 miles) on the banks Lake Huron. The rapidly growing town is also named after the beach and hosts millions of visitors every year. The peak season is summer, but there are a number of other attractions that are slowly transforming the town into a year-round destination.

Wasaga beach has all the elements of a perfect holiday destination. While the beach is not as popular as those of Hawaii or the Caribbean, it certainly costs a lot less.
