Pet CPR & First Aid Program in Morristown

A simple wound can sometimes decide your pet’s life or death. You should know how to handle it yourself. You can save your dog or cat, because God forbid they are choking on something and you are sitting here clueless about what to do. This was stated by Samantha Judson, the president of 911 Dog and Cat Rescue.

It can also save you to visit the emergency vet that could cost you a lot. A few hundred dollars just to walk in there. Most of the time, there’s no question you go right to the professional. I’m not saying that people should avoid these visits but it is only for minor wounds that only needs a little care and a bandage, that would save you spending tons of vet fees and a headache till you get to your vet.

Paws N Claws is organizing A "Pet CPR and First Aid" program that will be held for those pet owners who want to help their pets in an emergency condition. The program will be held on Oct 15 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Morristown Municipal Building, located at 200 South St. in Morristown. The event is also a fundraiser for 911 Dog and Cat Rescue, based in the Morristown.

The class is designed for anyone with an interest in protecting the safety and wellness of animals. Training is geared towards the pet parents, pet care professionals (groomers, sitters/walkers, a vet techs), animal rescue group volunteers and Emergency Service Professionals. There is no any requirement of prior training or the experience is required.

I observe this knowledge is lacking in a lot of areas, so I brought it to Morristown. It is very important for every pet owner. This was the first time I found an opportunity to work for the Morristown that was a great fundraiser, said Judson. And I have found so many pet owners around. Just walk down the street and you will find 10 dogs in less than a mile.

The class will be conducted by Tom Rinelli of Paws N Claws911, a pre-hospital care provider and educator, the class includes a lecture, demonstration and an emphasis on hands-on skills practice to ensure proficiency in the life-saving skills presented.
