Available in four colors, Coral Blue, Wine Red, Arctic Silver and Solid White, the e20 Plus is somewhat similar and yet different from its sibling, the e20. Read on for more details on the specs & features of this new electric hatchback from the stable of Mahindra.

Mahindra has always tried to deliver something innovative and exceptional in the electric vehicle segment, and the new e20 Plus is no exception. This 4-door car poses as the elder sibling of the 2-door e2o hatchback. So how different is this new variant from its predecessor? Let’s find out.

Exteriors

In terms of exteriors, the car takes inspiration from Mahindra Scorpio parts. The face now comes outfitted with a new grille with chrome finishing, which is inspired by that of the Scorpio. As far as dimensions are concerned, the length has been increased by 310 mm and the wheelbase by 300 mm, which now stand at 3590 mm and 2258mm respectively. It is also 61 mm wider and 25 mm taller than its sibling. Further, it gets revamped front & rear bumpers, LED tail lights, and integrated rear spoiler.

Technical Specs

Apart from the top-end P8, all the variants bring on board the same electric motor, which was offered by the e2o. The P8, however, is powered by a new 3 phase induction motor, which is capable of churning out 40bhp of power and 91Nm of torque. It also brings a reliable 210ah lithium-ion battery, which offers a driving range of 140km and a top speed of 85Km/h. Similar to the e20, this hatchback also takes 9 hours for a full charge and comes equipped with an automatic gearbox.

Interiors & Other Features

The vehicle offers a cabin space which is larger than the e20 by a whopping 30%. That’s not the only good news, as this car from Mahindra has a bucket-full of features on offer, ranging from GPS enabled navigation system, on-board computer, responsive touch-screen monitor, to keyless entry, power windows, and a Blaupunkt infotainment system. Apart from this, it also gets an SOS feature, which has been christened as ‘Revive.’ It was present in the e20 version as well, but in the plus variant, it offers an additional range of 7 to 10 km in instances when the battery power dips below 10 percent. This functionality can be accessed by a mere touch of a button. Alternatively, one can also download the app on his/her smartphone. Through the mobile app, one can also switch on/off the vehicle’s air conditioner and even lock/unlock the car.

With very few vehicles in the electric segment, the e20 plus has a great future. Those on the search of Mahindra Bolero parts or any other Mahindra spare parts may get in touch with BP Auto Spares India.
