In case you find yourself in a position that you can get a hold of a straightening iron, and you want to straighten your wavy or curly hair, all you have to do is to get hold of your curling iron and use it to straighten your hair easily. Just obediently follow the steps below, and you will have a straight hair in just a few minutes;

Step A:

  • Get hold of a curling iron that has a larger barrel so that you will be able to glide through the hair sections more easily.
  • Choosing a best
hair straight curling iron designed with ceramic plates will be more appropriate because they constantly contribute even heat throughout the whole iron. You can also use the ones that are infused with tourmaline as they help to chase away frizz and lock-in moisture.

  • Always select a curling iron that has variable temperature settings so that you can have total control of the heat to be released on your hair. This is to prevent damage caused by heat burn.

Step B:

  • Get your hair ready by washing and conditioning it. Make sure that the shampoo you will use is the one that will moisturize your hair without leaving any side effects.
  • Use a heat protectant gel or spray on your hair while it is still wet. Make sure that you rub the heat protectant spray from the roots of your hair to the ends.
  • Then blow dry your hair with a dryer. On no account will you straighten a hair that is still wet. Doing such will cause split ends, making your hair look frizzy and rough.

Step C:

  • After plugging in your curling iron, select the perfect temperature setting that will be suitable for your hair type and wait for the iron to heat up. Also, position yourself properly so that you can see what your hands are doing as you proceed with the straightening. Bringing a hair clip on the table where it will be easily accessible to you will also helpful.
  • With the help of the hair clip, clip back the top layers of your hair to make sure that you did not by-pass any hair strand. When you finish with the top layers, clip it back again to enable you to check out the bottom layer.
  • Starting from the hair section at the base of your neck, pull the curling iron through each section. Remember to maintain a firm grip as you slowly pull the curling iron downwards through your hair.
  • After finishing with the bottom layer, proceed to the top layer and repeat the same procedure you carried out on the bottom layer.
  • Spritz your hair with a hair spray after to make sure that the hair keeps the style in place. Remember only to use a hair spray that will prevent frizz and increase shine on your hair. You can even add volume to your hair by running your hand lightly through your hair.
