Popular Home-style Dining

Mother’s Kitchen is located on East Broad, and is a favorite for locals and visitors alike. Dining options include favorites like down home Southern cooking, sweet tea, and all the extras—just as mom used to make. So, come order a "meat and 3" and experience the South on a slateplate! These unique plates made the food so beautiful!

Sprayberry’s Barbecue was began in. 1926 in the back of what was originally a gas station.

Today it is still a family owned and operated barbecue restaurant. It was touted by the newspaper columnist, Lewis Grizzard as "merely the best barbecue joint on earth". They have served politicians, musicians and many other celebrities over their 80 years of business. They are known for their pit barbecue, Brunswick stew, crispy onion rings, and southern lemon pie.

Catfish Hollow offers simply the best fried fish, coleslaw, hush puppies and all the extras? Then this is the place! It is a local favorite, so sometimes the seating may be an issue, but the food is worth the wait. With baked, broiled, and fried fish and seafood, French fries, steamed vegetables, and great desserts, diners cannot go wrong here. The restaurant is known for being family friendly, so be sure to bring the kids.

Golden’s on the Square offers fried chicken, fish and okra; field peas, green beans, and butter beans; cornbread, biscuits and dressing; and, cobblers, cookies, and pies…this is lunch (and dinner) just like grandma used to make. With menu items compared to the culinary treats such as those prepared at Paula Dean’s Savannah restaurant, Golden’s is a hometown favorite that truly represents Southern cuisine at its best.

Uncork’d: Whether looking for a quiet dinner spot, a refined location for a business lunch, or a place sure to sweep one’s date off their feet-this is just the place. As one of Newnan’s finest restaurants, Uncork’d receives rave reviews on their food, quality wines, and exceptional service.

Menu items at Uncork’d include succulent selections like filet mignon with creamed spinach and garlic potato mashers or meals of perfectly roasted lamb, baked salmon or broiled scallops. Their over the top desserts are the perfect finale’ to a sumptuous meal. Uncork’d also hosts wine tastings which include a four course meal, with foods chosen to complement the wines to their fullest.

Andres’ Off the Square offers the opportunity to enjoy a quiet evening of exceptional food without the expense of driving to Atlanta. The food is on par with that served in five star establishments, but without the same price tag. Guests find steaks cooked to perfection, succulent seafood, a variety of veggies, decadent desserts and much more. Prices vary from lunch specials under $10 to dinner prices in the low to high teens.

Alamo Jacks is a trendy Newnan bar opened in August of 2004. It is a favorite for seeing live acts such as Sugarland, Michelle Malone Roy Scheinder, and others. Guests will find good food, quick service and lots of fun.
