Career Counselling for Better Future

Choosing right career option is crucial to building a good career path for the future. Some instances come in a lifetime when the right decision is needed to excel in the professional life, but due to lack of knowledge or blindly following the path which others are following may lead to a selection of a wrong career. This wrong decision can trouble the person for his/her whole life. The career choice at every important step should be made by keeping in mind the aptitude of the individual and analyzing the potential of the child in a particular field among the available options.

The first important decision of career building is taken after Xth class. The student has to choose the stream in which he/she wants to pursue the career. Once the stream has been selected, it becomes tough to change the line. The second most important career decision is made after 10+2. VIT (Vellore Institute of Technology), is conducting a free one-day career counselling programmes on 6th April 2017. The students of standard 10+2 and IXth can participate in the programme by which they will be guided to choose the right course and institutions for the future. Pre-planning way before can help the child to make up his mind in the right direction. The parents can also attend the programme if they are interested.

In the programme, BODHI is sponsoring the psychometric test through which cognitive abilities and personality of the student are judged, and the results produce an outcome. To participate in the psychometric test, the students have to register online at the official site of BODHI. The winner of the competition will be awarded a Desktop. Ramesh Prabha will do the engineering career counselling session. The programme will start at 10 am and ends at 5 pm.

VIT University is playing the role of presenting sponsor of the Career counselling. VIT is taking this initiative to guide the students of the next generation so that they can opt for the right career choice as per the potential in the field or stream they are best fit in. It is the right time for students to introspect oneself to plan for future in an organized way.
