The alternative fuel for conventional or diesel called as biodiesel. Biodiesel can produce from animal oil/fats, and waste cooking oil. The process, which used to convert these oils into biodiesel called as transesterification or enzyme transesterification. At present, most of the biodiesel produced from the waste vegetable oil that sourced from restaurants and other food industrial producers. The chemical reaction used for producing the biodiesel is the biodiesel Esterification.

Why use Biodiesel?

This smartest technology provides various benefits to multiple interests such as improved economy and the positive impact on the government as well as environment policies. The main responsibility of the biodiesel is to not only replace petroleum and diesel but also help to create the balanced energy policy with the wide range of benefits. Biodiesel is one of the best and several alternative fuels that designed to extend the cleanliness/longevity of diesel engines and usefulness of petroleum engines.

Benefits of biodiesel:

Biodiesel has several environmental beneficial properties. One of the main benefits of biodiesel is that it described as carbon neutral. Carbon neutral mean that the fuel does not produce the net output of carbon in the carbon dioxide form. Other benefits of biodiesel listed here.

1. Easy to use

The great advantage of biodiesel is that it can use in the existing engines, infrastructure, and vehicles without any practical change. Just like petrol and diesel, biodiesel can easily pump, store, and burn. It can use pure or blend with diesel petroleum fuel in any kind of proportion. Using the biodiesel, power and fuel economy achieved a lot by blending with petroleum diesel engine per year-round operation.

2. Power, economy, and performance

Most of the alternative fuels faced difficult to gain acceptance, as they do not give performance similar to the petroleum counterparts. Blend biodiesel with petroleum diesel fuel or pure biodiesel gives the alike horsepower, fuel mileage, and torque when compared to the petroleum diesel fuel. In the pure form, biodiesel has the energy content 5 to 10 percent lower than petroleum diesel. Hence, it should note that energy content of petroleum diesel fuel varies fifteen percentages from one supplier to other. When biodiesel used in the pure form, there is a notable change in performance and mileage but there is no change when biodiesel blended with petroleum diesel.

3. Less greenhouse gas emission

When fossil fuel burnt, it releases greenhouse gasses such as carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, which raises the temperature and causes global warming. Most of the people adopt the biofuels usage in order to protect the atmosphere from further heating up.

4. Produced from Renewable energy

Unlike petroleum products, which vanish in the upcoming years, the biodiesel is the renewable energy as it made from vegetable and animal fat. This can produce based on the demand and it causes less pollution compared to petroleum diesel.

5. Cleaner biofuel refineries

When oil extracted from underground, it needs to refine in order to run diesel engines. You cannot use it straight away in the form of crude. It releases some chemical compounds like benzene when it refined that is harmful to animals and human life. The turnkey biodiesel refineries mainly use animal and vegetable fats into biofuel so it releases less toxic chemicals to the environment.
