Curious how much airplane you can get for your money? If you’re just starting your search for an airplane, you might be surprised to learn that aircraft prices vary widely, depending on the year, modifications done to the airplane and the relevancy of the avionics, among other things.. A single engine piston aircraft, for example, might cost $19,000 for one that was built in the 60's and good flying condition to $800,000+ dollars for a brand new off the production line aircraft with all the new avionics (glass panels) and all the gadgets.

From light aircraft to business jets, the costs vary from large to small. Here are some examples of what you’ll pay for a few of the most commonly purchased airplanes:

You must keep in mind that prices will vary depending a lot of different factors. From the year of Manufacture, to how much total time (TT) is on the airframe, how much time is left on the engine(s) SMOH, when maintenance was done, the maintenance program and a plethora of other issues and items.
