After Grade 12, every student who has chosen Science steps into Engineering to blindly follow a herd and compete with them. This also being the case as Engineering is the second-best option available after medical stream being notches up high in terms of competition and also high investment in terms of time and money.

This being the real state of the increasing demand for the engineering stream, engineering cannot be everyone’s cup of tea as not everyone has the aptitude and expertise to succeed in it. This is the reason why there are so many statistics available on engineering graduates not being employable, even though there is as such no dearth of engineering colleges in the country.

To get into the best institution, branch should not be given priority. A most wanted branch in a most wanted institution is surely the aim and everyone’s dream, but reality may not make that happen. Well, this is not being said in negative light, but based on the following reasons:

  • Studying in a good institution ensures scope for all branches, as there is better infrastructure and resources to gain knowledge and a good placement cell guaranteeing the worthy of the lot high paying jobs.
  • Engineering in a specific discipline does nor guarantee you a long-term career. As interests and other factors always end up making people shift across roles and multiple domains.
  • Interest developed in a branch should not be on account of a good teaching experience by the student and that should be based on the aspects of the branch.

We can churn out examples of students from horrible colleges who have made it big in life. But, those students would have struggled at all in the first place if they had got good exposure. Better colleges make students self aware about what they want to do, their strengths and also provide them with means to specialize in their field of expertise.

And the places in India from where you choose to do engineering also matters greatly. Like an engineering degree from a very remote place would not guarantee you opportunities as much as a degree from Mumbai or Delhi would.

Look for Top Engineering colleges in Delhi and decide on the procedure to get admitted into such colleges. Make a detailed strategy on how you would go on to clear the admission test and fulfil other relevant formalities.
