Digital PR is known as the evolution of traditional PR and there’s a raging debate about whether ‘digital PR’ is merely ‘online PR’ – for this article, and my personal integrity, it is not. The common definition is that digital PR is the use of online trusted, independent, third parties to positively influence a brands target audience.

The benefits of this are huge, as it encompasses a lot, there is a lot you can get out of it. The way we see it, is that 3 pillars lead to 4 main benefits. Content marketing, social media marketing and search engine optimization are the 3 interlinking pillars. The 4 main benefits: improving your SEO, increasing traffic to your sites, increasing online presence / brand awareness and guest expert / influencer positioning. Hopefully you can tell why digital PR is now seen is highly important, especially to new disruptor businesses wanting to shake up large monoliths with innovative marketing strategies.

So, the question is why would you outsource your digital PR?

Digital PR is an amalgamation of all utilised online platforms of a brand, combined in a comprehensive strategy. It’s an integrated strategy of a series of specific activities, which is why it’s more than just online PR (side note: digital marketing would just be the generic sister term for online marketing). Each piece of content isn’t purely published and pushed out onto the internet. It’s modified into a much more calculated, wider strategy, including: augmented release timings, target audience research, keyword examination and targeting etc.

Whether it’s Twitter, Google or independent social influencers, a team of experts that specialises in communication and relationship building (the hall-marks of digital PR), will suit your brand much better than a lone wolf that thinks they can do it all by themselves (although some distinguished business directors most certainly can). The reality is, a lot of entrepreneurs know their business and their market more than well enough run a successful digital PR campaign. But, the amount of time this would take up from their day seriously begs the question of outsourcing. Why not outreach to experts of the industry, who will be able to get a grip with your product / service / market / competition in next to no time? This saves you precious time that you can re-invest back into your business and the bonus is, at an affordable price, they will be able to do it better than you could have in the first place!

This is the true brilliance of outsourcing to a virtual assistant

  • they can be your expert strategist, directed by you, concentrating on a holistic online brand presence. This allows you the autonomy to sit back and enjoy the rewarding benefits of successful digital PR or utilize extra time to invest back into your business, yourself or your family.

Naturally you would have to outsource to the right company. Preferably where your dedicated virtual assistant has a wealth of resources behind them.
