Sometimes when you are going out to eat it can be hard to know how to tip you waiters or servers. It can also be difficult to know who else to tip, if there is a valet, or coatroom attendant. It can be difficult. Most people, after finishing their food made from scratch in Lee Vista want to show their appreciation to the chefs and the servers who helped them order that night. With an increasing number of nicer restaurants that try to be welcoming and comfortable like Marlow’s Tavern, but elegant at the same time, it can be hard to know how much to tip and who to tip. Here are a few tips for tipping.

How Much

A well-known idea for how much is 15% of the bill. This is a good general idea for tipping. IT is important to realize however that 15% is the average amount, so it is best suited for an average meal and service. If your experience was better than average, you tip should probably reflect that. 20% might be better for a good meal, and 25% for a great one. In the US most servers are paid very little, because they are expected to make most of their income off of tips. Some restaurants will include the tip automatically in the bill, so you won’t have to worry very much about the tip, unless your service was exceptional and you want to tip them extra.

Who Else

Generally speaking, anyone else who serves you at a restaurant deserves a tip, to varying degrees. A lot of this will depend on how nice the restaurant you went to was. Places will gourmet food made from scratch in Lee Vista might encourage you to tip the cooks. If there was a wine steward, they would appreciate a tip. A coatroom attendant, restroom attendant, and valet are all people who normally receive tips. You obviously don’t have to tip any of these people, and you won’t have them at every restaurant, but they are working to serve you, and usually deserve a small tip, though not as large as that you gave to the waiter or server.

Where to Tip

Tipping is most commonly done in the US. IF you are traveling or living somewhere else, you should try to get to know the tipping customs there. It might also differ at different events other than a traditional restaurant. Other countries only accept smaller tips, and in some it can be rude to try to tip people. Generally speaking, tip sparingly in Europe, and not at all in Asia. Each country will have its own customs, but this is a very general idea of how it works.

When to Tip

You can’t tip someone until you have gone out and enjoyed some delicious food made from scratch in Lee Vista. If you can afford it, make sure that you are enjoying some of the culture and food that your town or area offers. There are unique and fun places like Marlow’s Tavern in every town, so if you want to spice up your life a little bit, try eating out somewhere new.
