Feel like your car is being warned out lately? Fear not, here are several ways to get your car feeling like it's new again!

Cleaning:Maybe you got a certain smell brewing in your car that wasn't there before. What you are in need of is a good cleaning to get that new car smell again. You want to go through every nook and cranny, go under the seats, in and around the dashboard and through the trunk. A mini vacuum is great for this job as it can get in those hard to reach places.

You can even use some sprays to freshen up the interior and remove some of those odd smells that have been laying about.

Sound System and GPS

Next on this list is the sound system. Let's say you bought you car 5 years ago. In those 5 years there has been great advances in sound and GPS. You can buy things like Ipod integrations and GPS units that can be fitted into your car. Gone are the days where you need to rely on your phone GPS to find where you are going!

Washing the glass

The next step is to clean everything that is glass. The front and back screen and mirrors. Ensure you get a powerful soap option to clean those grimy parts. This is where a bit of elbow grease really comes in handy. This will actually help your windscreen wipers as well. You see, overtime, you'r windscreen will have a build up of debris and dirt from your adventures on the road. Heck, there will probably be a bunch of leaves as well. These things can actually damage your wipers to the point that you need to pay 100's of dollars to get them replaced. Hence, spending a couple of bucks in a cleaning equipment to scrub and clear these surfaces will go a long way on saving you money. As a bonus, you'll also be able to see clearer and the lights will shine more as they are no longer being 'clouded'.

Sealing the windows and Doors

If you take a close look at your car, you'll probably see rubber around the doors and even windows. These help seal in your car so outside wind will not go through. As with everything else, overtime, you'll get wear and tear and sometimes these rubber seals will get a bit leaky. It's time for a replacement. It's better to replace these sooner rather then later so no extra damage is caused to the vehicle.

Engine

Ah the engine, the 'heart' of the car so to speak. There are a ton of products out their which can bring new life to an engine. One that comes to mind is fuel injector cleaners. Apply these cleaners to your engine and your car will be purring like it was brand new. You see the beauty with these products is that they are very affordable and add great longevity to a car that would once seem like it was on its last legs.

Regular Check-UpsAn obvious one, but regular check up with the mechanic will ensure you car keeps ticking over smoothly. Just recently, I brought my car to the mechanic and found the engine to be breaking off from the mount! This was causing the engine to wobble and cause my car to swerve slightly. If this wasn't fixed something terrible could have happened, and the costs would have surely been in the 1000s of dollars. Luckily this issue only cost a couple of hundred to fix.

It's super important to have annual checks (or as recommended by your mechanic) of your car so things work as they should.

Summary

These are just some of the ways you get can extra life out of your vehicle. At the end of the day, these precautions are very important because they can save you a lot of money in the long run. With a little bit of care and a bit of attention, you can ensure your car lasts long and provides a safe method of transport for both you and your family.
