A radio frequency map system is a computer system for capturing, storing, querying, analyzing, and displaying geographically referenced data. The geographically referenced data describes both the locations and characteristics of spatial features. It is also known as the spatial data. Geographic Information System is a system designed to capture, store, manipulate, analyze, manage and present all types of spatial and geographical data, usually developed at the GIS center. At about this moment, you might not even know that the phone you are using has GIS features. The internet that you browse every day or the Google Maps that you use also has 3D features to view the textures and terrains of t6he earth from the satellite view.

One of the major applications of GIS is natural resource management. The other uses include, crime analysis, emergency, planning, land records management, market analysis, transport applications. Integration of GIS with global positioning system (GPS), wireless technology, and the internet has introduced new exciting applications. For example, vehicle drivers can find the shortest routes in vehicle navigation system.

The increase in demand for spatial data can only be met by using computers. GIS does represent the simplified view of the real world. Unlike the traditional paper maps, a 3d map RF planning can provide detailed information about the features such as roads, buildings, streams, etc. Additionally, the computers can quickly search; analyze the map features and their attributes. Such advantages are not possible with traditional maps.

There are two basic concepts of GIS. First, the features have attributes associated with them. GIS tells us where something is and what it is. Secondly, the information collected must be represented as layers such as points, lines and polygons. A polygon is a solid which has multi sided shape.

Comparing the locations of different individuals includes how related they are to each other. For instance, with the help of this technology, you can mark on a map what place will most likely have cloudy weather. This would be great advice to everybody and they will be prepared for the chances of rain. The system can utilize any information as long as it includes the location. Location can be expressed in several different ways such as latitude, longitude, address, Zip Code and many others. Apart from being compared, locations can also be contrasted using GIS. The data can generate information about people like population, age, income or educational attainment. Besides this, digital map RF planning can also cover data about land such as the location of streams, kinds of vegetation and kinds of soil.

3D mapping Data is either spatial or non-spatial. The latter is taken care of by non- spatial data management system. The former can be either geographic (GIS) or non- geographic.

The software for GIS consists of five functional groups such as data input and verification, data storage and data base management, data output and presentation, data transformation, and interaction with the users.

The advent of the graphical user interface, powerful hardware, software, public digital data, etc have broadened the range of GIS applications and have helped us to explore the world in a digital stream.
