When you want a transformer you have to consider mainly the following two things – the application of the transformer and the load over it, there are various other things that have to be evaluated before you buy the Insulation transformer as it should meet the needs of the primary concern and the requirements of the user. It is always preferable to opt for the bigger or big transformer and the unit with kVA is considered better or preferable as it will be able to bear the heavy load automatically, but on the other hand if you pick up the larger or huge Insulation transformer for the electricity system it will be a huge investment and so you have to consider the needs and purpose of usage before installing the Insulation transformers. Some of the main things that you have to consider before buying the transformers are the following:

  1. The application – the Insulation transformer should be installed based upon the application and the varieties also differs with the unit applications, for instance in the steel factory there is a necessity of uninterrupted power flow for the proper functioning of metallurgical and various other processes, so the load loss has to be reduced and this means that the Insulation transformer that minimizes the copper loss is best, whereas in the wind energy units, the output power will vary with the various instances so that it will withstand the surges without any failure. In the smelting industry the power transformer has to be kept that allows constant power flow as correct energy is very much vital over here, in the automotive industry the short term overloaded capacity will work and in the textile industry the motors vary upon the voltage specifications. In the horticulture section high performing units are needed as the loads vary.
  2. The Insulation transformer is relatively better compared to the conventional transformers as they have better features and are accepted for all applications, the liquid filled ones work efficiently and have capability to withstand overloading they also have durability and hence life expectancy is more.
  3. The liquid filled transformer will reduce the hot spot coil temp and so are considered better than the normal transformers.
  4. This type of insulators will protect the unit from harsh conditions, the accessories and the leads are protected properly even when there is a harsh climatic condition, as the transformers are sealed they will provide full protection to the internal components too, hence this can be applied even on the stainless steel tanks and corrosive conditions.
  5. The dry type Insulation transformers are made of the fiberglass polyester and hence are safe and give full protection. These are available with 15kV and are applicable for indoor and moisture proof areas, on the other hand the liquid filled Insulation transformers are made up of porcelain and are 500 kV these are for outdoor usages and are easy to maintain. They are also track resistant.
  6. The high voltage insulators contain oil impregnated insulation made of paper, and this will act as capacitive voltage divider.

If you pick up the larger or huge Insulation transformer for the electricity system it will be a huge investment and so you have to consider the needs and purpose of usage before installing the Insulation transformers.
