Is the Commute All That Important When It Comes to a Preschool Near Naperville?

Searching for a preschool near Naperville will usually give parents many options. Simply going online and typing into a search engine, "find a Day Care Near Naperville " could provide dozens upon dozens of results. Of course, not all of them are actually in Naperville, but could be in the surrounding areas.

Some of those facilities might be half an hour or an hour away.

When you calculate in traffic, red lights, and much more, it could take a tremendous amount of time just to get from the house to the facility. Before long, that commute is going to wear thin, unless it is putting those parents or at least one parent within throwing distance of their work.

How close should a day care near Naperville be?

That all depends on the individual, of course, but the recommended distance would put the facility no farther than a 15 minute drive, on average.

Is that realistic?

Some parents, busy professionals, will often see that 15 minute recommendation as being a bit unrealistic. After all, most people have a commute over 45 minutes each way to work. That’s over an hour and a half every single day stuck in the car, and that’s without traffic accidents, last-minute road construction, and other emergencies that can cause delays.

The average working professional today spends more than two hours in their vehicle just commuting. So, is a 15 minute trip to a preschool near Naperville really the most important thing or realistic?

Yes, it can be.

Think about it this way: after that long commute, if one or both parents have to take turns dropping off or picking up their child from this day care facility, the longer the commute is back home, the more quickly it’s going to wear thin.

What could change this aspect?

There are certain components that can change the commuting distance and just how far parents are willing to travel to make sure their child is in the best environment. One of those is to focus on a school that has one of the best learning environments.

KLA Schools utilizes a child centered educational platform. The Reggio Emilia approach to learning puts the child as the focus, rather than the curriculum. That means whatever the child is most interested in, the teachers and other faculty will be dedicated to helping him or her explore the world around them and make incredible discoveries.

Each day, when parents pick their children up after some time at KLA Schools, they are often inundated with stories, revelations, and excitement. Suddenly that 15, 20, or even 30 minute trip back home is over before they know it.

While distance to KLA Schools is not nearly as important as it might be for another day care near Naperville, it is still something to consider because when a child is going to school every day for two or three years before they start kindergarten or elementary school, it will have an impact.
