The locum lab technician is no different from the regular lab technical and possesses equal skills and knowledge. The only difference is that the locum lab technician works on part time basis in different pharmaceutical labs and pathologies, while the regular lab technician works full time in a single lab.

Most of the big hospitals and pharmacy stores often look for the candidates that not only have desired skills of locum pharmacists, but also have fair amount of experience working as locum pharmacist. In order to combat this issue many locum pharmacist agencies are now providing the paid and unpaid internship programs for the candidates, which will allow them to get required job experience.
