5 Tips for Staircase to Success

Success starts with a positive attitude; it begins with raising the opinion we have of ourselves. This requires a boost in self-confidence, but this raises the question of how do we increase our self-confidence? Raising ones confidence requires focus on 5 major areas.

1. Dream

You have to know what you want and you have to want it bad. The desire of a dream results in internal motivation. As Dexter Yager once said "if the dream is big enough, the facts don't matter". Having a big dream, a huge dream will motivate you to achieve what’s important to you. Make sure your dream is visible to you at all times. Put photos of it in your car, on your fridge, bathroom and everywhere you can.

2. Talent

Identify your areas of strength. Getting to know yourself isn't a quick journey, but if you begin with your strengths you can continue to capitalise what you are good at. Just as importantly, match this up with what you enjoy doing. By matching your talent to your passion, you will have victory after victory; build self confidence and skills to the next level. You must believe in your talents. Each human is made capable of achieving huge results; just believe you can!

3. Persistency

Anything handed to us for free is not truly earned. To achieve your dream you will need to design your life on how you’re going to get there. You need to set goals and chase them with a furious persistency. Life has a natural order, you must plant the seed, let it grow and then harvest the crop. As a human, you need your dream. In the pursuit of the dream, there will be struggles but with persistency you reach your destiny. Through the struggles you will need to push through fears and the unknown. There will be times when you want to quit but my question to you is how bad do you want it? How big is your dream? By pushing these limits, you will naturally build your confidence to greater levels, a victory in its own right!

4. Luck

Put quite simply, the harder we work, the luckier we get. Think of someone you know that is the best in the world at what they do. Growing up, how many people would have had the same opportunity to learn these skills. Perhaps it’s on the field, behind a computer or on stage. Hundreds of people have got the same opportunities every day, it's the ones who are willing to push a little bit more into the unknown, through their fears and work a little bit hard that seems to get all the luck.

5. Team

Having people of empowerment around you will encourage you to pursue your dreams. The importance of a team or a mentor who will guide you and pick you up when you are feeling down or pull you back in line when you get off course. By sharing your dreams and goals with someone you trust you have made yourself more accountable. As humans we do not like to let anyone down and can make it that bit easier to push through the hard times. Finally, having someone to share your victories with will increase your confidence to higher and higher levels.
