Turn your digital pictures into hand painted artwork on quality canvas. This article will Endeavor to explain the process of painting pictures on canvas by hand from your digital images. Which you can compliment any interior design in the home, office or for gallery display. And to let you know in detail the experience I had so you can avoid all the pit falls and have a smooth experience.

Painting pictures from photos is a really enjoyable experience for me but due diligent research is required if you are using any company for the first time especially on the internet.

Choosing the right Picture to Paint

If you don't have a digital image or a specific photo in painting picture idea then I would recommend just going to the old photo album and chose one! Then you go your nearest photo shop and get the hard copy scanned, simple. I was lucky as I had the perfect picture to paint in mind and already had it saved to my computer. It is my daughter’s wedding day leaving the church.

Search engines

Google is the biggest so that was where my research began entering keyword selection: "Painting pictures, Photo to Painting and Picture to Painting" and plethora of companies where listed all offering 100% hand made products. I chose ten and narrowed it down to five based on my analysis of price, turnaround time and, of course, quality of the gallery – ultimately it was the quality of the work that is the most important because as I researched prices and made a comparison they were very competitive. I then checked on the other two big search engines being Yahoo and Bing just to be thorough in my research and you will be interested to know that it was the same companies on them so it really didn't make my research any longer than it had to be.

Customer service

Customer service is paramount and communication must be very good when you are painting pictures from digital images. I am going to be in charge of how I want the painting to turn out they say in there "how the process works" so being able to relay those instructions is very important. I started calling companies on my list starting at number five and I was amazed to find out that when they finish painting pictures they charge you for any alterations you might wish to make if you are unhappy or you just want to tweak a fine detail – so that was number four and five quickly eliminated. Then spoke to the others and based on my analysis above I chose number three as the gallery was superb, turnaround time fine, price very reasonable and the customer service was excellent!

Placing the order

This was so easy, all I had to do was upload my photo, choose size, medium, (I chose Oil as they said it was the most popular) how many people, choose a frame and make a small down payment, done!

Painting Pictures Process

First they edit the photo to the desired style, add a different back ground if you choose etc. Once I was happy with the edited image they need my approval to continue, which they got and it was quickly passed to an acrylic artist. I was very apprehensive during this painting pictures process, it took eight days to paint which is I thought was a reasonable amount of time for a oil painting on canvas "24 x 36". Then at last it was finished which is when you receive a digital proof via e-mail. I was knocked off my feet by the results! I just want to tweak the slightest detail of my Daughters dress, which they kindly did and I approved the second proof, done....

Delivery

I paid my final balance and it arrived in 3 days all wrapped neatly no damage. I can't wait to see my Daughters reaction and I would recommend the process of painting pictures by hand to anyone. I will leave the company I chose in the about the author box, hope this article helps, what a wonderful gift for Christmas!!!!
