This year every actress had her fashion game on point. From Deepika to Katrina, every glam-doll had her style highs and lows. On Diwali we take a look at actresses whose fashion sense sizzled and those whose style statement fizzled. But we leave for you to decide who is the biggest fashion pataka of this year…

Deepika Padukone: First for the promotions of Finding Fanny and then for Happy New Year, we saw DP sporting a variety of looks. From summery Goan outfits to full-sleeved ornate sarees, DP’s style remained the most dynamic this year. But we never had Deepika who is often tagged as a safe dresser, throw caution to the wind. Nevertheless her fashion appearances of the year deserve to be lauded.

Katrina Kaif: We were expecting Kat to reach for the stars this year with her Bang Bang promotional appearances this year but clearly we expected too much. Kaif proved that she isn’t a clothes horse and quite frankly, her style sense f the year disappointed us a little. A little something apart from all those pencil skirts she wore to every other Bang Bang event would have make her a sizzling firecracker on this list. Sorry, Katrina fans that ain’t happening this year!

Shraddha Kapoor: The Haider actress has lots of scope for improvement.Seemed like before stepping out each time, her sole fashion agenda was to dress cute and not experiment much. All we can say is that we see potential patakha quality in Shraddha which may materialise in the coming years and transform Shraddha from cute to hot (her bold GQ and FHM magazine covers are already hinting at the same!)Till then she can keep them adorable Osman outfits coming…

Sonam Kapoor: The Khoobsurat actress has emerged as a clear winner this year with all her promotional events. Not just that, even her magazine cover photos (for instance Vogue and Prestige) and style spottings were praise-worthy. She is one actress who is uninhibited, and unafraid to experiment with fashion and surprisingly that always works in her favour. We love her for being the beacon of style to the young girls and can definitely call her a sizzling patakha of the year!

Sonakshi Sinha: Nothing was particularly striking about Sona’s sense of dressing this year but it didn’t stick out like a sore thumb either. Apart from her Shantanu and Nikhil tiered gown at an award function, no outfit of her at her limited public appearances really stood out. But her fashion statement hasn’t depressed us till now and with the oncoming arrival of Tevar we hope to see a lot more of Jr Shotgun at promotional events.

Alia Bhatt: The 2 States actress too seems to be following in the footsteps of Shraddha as she too wants to dress cute. But unlike Shraddha whose periodic escapades into the glamour world via magazine photoshoots balance the cute act, Alia hasn’t quite managed to get recognised as a ‘hot’ diva. A quick getaway from those black booties and sneakers Alia is always spotted in is needed because what started as an edgy style statement was overdone in time till it became a not-so-stylish and just a lazy way of dressing.
