Professionals at Blueway Limited have a comprehensive knowledge of the regulations that pertain to air travel and use advanced flight information systems to handle your claim in case of a flight delay. This is done in sync with EC regulations and typically the compensation is directly deposited to your bank account. So you don’t really have to do anything apart from waiting for the payment to be credited to your bank account.

The Amount of Delayed Flight Compensation

In the year 2013, almost 72.3 million passengers arrived at or took off from the Heathrow airport in London. Five per cent of the total number of passengers would have gone through flight issues when travelling via the Heathrow airport. The percentage only rises when all the primary airports across Europe are taken into account. Given this, several people can claim compensation with respect to a flight delay, but they are simply not aware of their rights.

The compensation for flight delay depends mostly on two factors: the length of the flight (in kilometres) and the flight delay (in hours). On the basis of these two factors, Blueway Limited calculates the claim amount to be given to the passenger.

Qualifying for Flight Delay Claim

For a passenger to qualify for a flight delay claim, the length of the delay must be at least 3 hours. Based on the flight situation, the claim amount for the passenger could be anywhere between 250 to 600 Euros. Each case is treated differently and therefore the variation in compensation.

Passengers who are travelling a distance of up to 1500kms, and are delayed by a minimum of three hours, can claim a compensation of 250 Euros. An example of such a flight could be one travelling from London to Paris.

In case the distance to be covered by the flight is anywhere between 1500 to 3500 kilometres, an amount of 400 Euros would be due as flight delay claim to the passenger.

If the flight was to cover a distance of more than 3500 km, and the delay was between three to four hours, a passenger will be entitled to a compensation of 300 Euros.

For a passenger to get the 600 Euros compensation (maximum claim amount), the length of the flight would have to be greater than 3500 kilometres and the delay would have to be four or more hours.

How it Works

Blueway Limited will submit the original claim and associated documents for the passenger on their behalf to the airline as per the EC regulation. We will also manage all the responses received from the airline and make appeals to the appropriate aviation/governing body if required. Our team of legal experts will look into fulfilling any legal or court action required to reclaim your money from the airline.
