Romantic sunsets punctuate couple’s love story
Posted: Mar 02, 2015
Shortly after graduating from college, Molly Fudge and Andrew Sohr were introduced by mutual friends in Nashville. They became fast friends in the autumn of 2011, but by springtime, they were officially a couple. After three months of dating exclusively, they knew they were meant for one another.
"From the very beginning, it was just easy being with him," Fudge said. "I felt like we could have fun forever."
Two and a half years into the relationship, Sohr proposed to Fudge against the backdrop of a San Diego sunset over the Pacific Ocean.
Fudge, now 25, graduated from Niceville Senior High in Florida. From there, she ventured to Ole Miss, where she majored in hospitality management. She is the daughter of Sonya and Jeffrey Fudge of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.
Sohr, 26, attended Nashville’s Franklin Road Academy and the University of San Diego, where he earned a degree in business economics. His parents are Lyn and Scott Sohr of Nashville.
The couple chose Sept. 27, 2014, for their wedding in Franklin. The rehearsal dinner took place the evening prior at The Cordelle, a new venue in downtown Nashville’s historic Rutledge Hill neighborhood.
The wedding began at sunset at Trinity View Farm in Williamson County. The ceremony was held under a magnificent arch festooned with curly willow, cotton, wheat, dried lily pods, seeded eucalyptus, bittersweet and loads of white hydrangeas. Beyond the arch lay a stunning view of the rolling hills of Middle Tennessee.

Groomsmen also sported custom navy suits by Loring and Otis James ties. The entourage included best men Scott Sohr and Austin Sohr and groomsmen Jacob Fudge, Mason Mercy, Chase Gilbert, Michael Bench, Bryce Burnham, Jordan Zarshenas and Matthew Harris. Oden Sohr was ring bearer.
Bridesmaids wore vanilla-hued floor-length gowns in different styles, all by Amsale. They carried bouquets of hydrangea, guinea feathers, white and yellow roses. The ensemble included maid of honor Sarah Kate Fudge and bridesmaids Gracia Sohr, Audrey Sohr, Andrea Claret, Cristina Cardet, Niki Rowland, Elaine Holtzman, Michael McCollum and Rachel Batten.
In a breathtaking moment before the bride walked the aisle, multi-colored hot-air balloons filled the sky. The landscape was filled with the strains of bagpipes performing "Highland Cathedral." The bride appeared, wearing a lovely custom design by noted local bridal designer Olia Zavozina and carrying a resplendent bouquet akin to the bridesmaids’ but with peach roses.
Singer Abigail Rose delivered an a cappella version of "Stand by Me," originally by Ben E. King.
Pastor Carter Crenshaw of West End Community Church officiated.
"The ceremony consisted of a beautiful Christian message on the importance of marriage and our love together," Molly Sohr said.
