Some bodyguards may think their job is simply to offer security, protection, and to offer close protection when needed. However, bodyguard courses offer so much more than this. There are also a wide range of security companies offering a varied range of bodyguard training, from courses ranging on how to be an executive close protection specialist, to attending a weekend of intense training, the first person on scene intense training and new ways to draw a weapon and fire in emergency situations.

However, a bodyguard needs specialized training so that they may better by able to protect their client in whatever way needed. However, why should a bodyguard need close protection, FPOSI or bodyguard's courses beyond basic courses?

Bodyguards may need to serve as FPOSI in an emergency situation?

In an emergency, a bodyguard may be the FPOS and may need to administer CPR. This is why it may be useful for any bodyguard to take bodyguard's courses that cover FPOSI training.

This way a bodyguard can be prepared and respond to an emergency calmly in the most intense situations. Having this knowledge not only helps one become a better responder, it may also help advance one’s career. This may open the door to an executive close position for a celebrity or a multi-million dollar business executive. This is why bodyguards should not excuse the importance of taking their training and going to all refresher bodyguard courses in person instead of taking internet online courses to receive their re-certification in bodyguard's courses for training.

Bodyguards may have to serve as drivers

Depending on the situation, a bodyguard may need close protection training and need to know how to drive aggressively to get their client out of harm’s way. This is why a bodyguard may need to take defensive driving as part of their bodyguard's courses. They may need to take intense five-week training courses in order to learn new methods of protecting their client and dealing with a first person on scene intense scenario.

Depending on whether their client is a political figure or how famous their client is, may dictate a bodyguard may need additional military protection training (in order to search for IUD bombs or launch counter-attacks against those who attack their security trains). This is why bodyguards really need professional bodyguard's courses training, FPOSI, and close protection training.
