  • Polar fleece’ is a soft napped insulating fabric made from a type of polyester called polyethylene terephthalate (PET. Also known as "Polar Wool," "Vega Wool," or "Velo Wool." It is a vegan alternative to wool and is a 100% natural material. A part of stretch knit family of fabrics. Twisted yarns are knitted into fabric. Then a series of wire brushes rough up the surface and create the nap. Finally the fabric is sheared. It is used in jackets, hats, sweaters, joggers, gym clothes, high performance outdoor clothing and wide variety of polar fleece blankets.
