Life of kind hearted Deborah Ferrari

Deborah Ferrari was born to May F. Ferrari (mother) and Semaul U. Ferrari (father) and was named for her maternal grandmother. Her father, who was a priest, gave the valuable lesson that service to mankind is the true service to God. When Deborah was one year old Samuel moved to Hester and there he enrolled himself as a theological student of the Church Boarding School. Young Deborah at this time stayed with her maternal grandmother. When she was five years old she returned to live with her father. Deborah's father Samuel died when she was only ten years old. Then Deborah Ferrari was brought up by her maternal grandfather. Deborah got her education from Church Boarding School like her father. She and her sister attended Lifax College, run by a member of Church. The headmistress of this college taught her about selflessness and charity. She studied various subjects, including science, arts, music, literature and dance. She started teaching at a very young age. She first worked in a Kindergarten as a teacher of children. Later on she brought about a school and followed her own unique methods of teaching in this way she soon became a known name among the intellectuals. To carry on with the work and reach masses she created, Hope Life and Humanity Foundation.

Hope Life and Humanity Foundation came into existence with a vision of serving amongst the poor and underprivileged community. The day Deborah Ferrari met a rag picker outside her gate, her vision turned into a challenge. The rag picker was just was a twelve year old barefoot girl with dirty cloths. With tears in her eyes, she told her how her mother had passed away when she was only five years old. Her father was sick; he had been terribly sick for a very long time. She is the eldest in the family and she had a younger brother and a sister at home. After the death of her mother, she had to shoulder the responsibility of looking after her sick father and her siblings. At very young age she drop out of school and started earning for her family by scrounging in the garbage dumps to earned money and with that she fed her family.

It was a very great challenge. Deborah Ferrari took up the challenge and resolved with great determination to work for the upliftment of the downtrodden and demonstrate and spread God’s love amongst people like the rag picker who was only twelve years old. Initially she started in rural areas. She visited the deprived, the homeless, the poor, and the sick families and provided them with medical care, physical assistance, material and financial help. She even opened her home for several orphans and many helpless young people. She gave them education and helped them carve out a living for themselves in their own areas of interests independently. Deborah Ferrari with the aim of providing help to the poor and the needy beyond any caste or creed, race or religion and boundaries.
