If you are looking to rent a condo in Bangkok you need to be prepared so that you have exactly what is required so that you rental agreement is as smooth as possible. Whilst technically there are no requirements in the sense that they are required by law it obviously helps that you have a visa in your passport to prove that you are legally allowed to stay in the country. Many condos in Bangkok may ask for a copy of your passport and the visa page so that they have proof that you can stay there and have a reason too. The next requirement is that you have the money for the initial deposit which is nearly almost always required. Some condos for rent in Bangkok may even require a letter from your prospective employer to verify that you have a job in the country and thus a source of income which would obviously be used, in part for paying your condo rent each month.

All these requirements are there to protect both the condo owners and the tenant which, in this case, would be you. By proving to them that you have the reason and means to stay in Bangkok and the financial element also then it just makes the ability to rent a condo in Bangkok all that much easier than if you did not have any of these requirements. Many condos for rent in Bangkok may not accept you if you do not have anything higher than a tourist visa as that means that you can only stay in the country a minimum time which can make the idea of renting a condo not that worthwhile.

For example if you have a 30 day tourist visa and want to rent a condo in Bangkok then many may not allow you to because the deposit alone may be for minimum of two months upfront and if your visa cannot match that then there is not guarantee you will be there to be able and so paying a deposit for a number of months of which you may not be allowed back in to the country also serves no purpose. Obviously if you are renting a condo in Bangkok as part of a holiday package then providing the required documentation for that is needed also although, for this, many tour operators have usually sorted all of this out for your arrival so all you need to do is essentially check in and then check out when you are scheduled to leave.

Renting a condo in Bangkok need not be hassle as long as you ensure that you have covered all bases and meet all the specifications and requirements. It always helps to check with the condo itself first also to see what the requirements are if you are unsure but once they are met then your stay in Bangkok in your rented condo will be all the more pleasant and simpler and a lot more fun without the stress of worrying about regulations to spoil everything.
