Burberry India, new fashionistas to the Indians

Fashion has been one of India’s favourite child. India as a country, has been very welcoming in terms of accepting fashion ideas from different countries around the world. Different genres of fashion western, modern, contemporary, ethnic, tribal have all worked in the markets of India and people have been more than happy to try and experiment new genres of fashion. Different brand names with worldwide reputation have seen their entry into the Indian market and have also tasted success in the Indian markets. One such world famous brand is Burberry.

Burberry is a British fashion luxury house which found its beginning in the year 1856 in England in the hands of Thomas Burberry. In the year 2014, this brand was ranked 73rd in the best global brands report. It was sheer hard work and dedication along with customer likes that has brought the brand to such a high elevation. The company is listed on the London Stock Exchange and has stores and franchisees all around the world. Burberry India is a recent addition and sells a number of products including trench coats, outer wear, fashion accessories, fragrances and perfumes, eye wear, cosmetics, bags and other fashion accessories. The brand also keeps in touch with its philanthropic side by way of the Burberry foundation which was established in the year 2008 to help young people realise their dreams through the power of creativity. Presently, the brand has more than 500 stores in over 50 countries all around the world.

Fashion can never go without the mention of cosmetics and fragrances. The use of cosmetics dates back to the yester years of the Greek civilizations. The oldest forms of cosmetics include the use of kohl and other materials. The parent company of Lancome is Loreal which is one of the top most names in the cosmetics industry. This French brand produces luxury perfumes, skin care items, make up and cosmetics and distributes it internationally. It was founded in the year 1935 by Armand Petitjean and in the year 1935 launched its first five fragrances at Brussels. Lancome India has introduced the brand products in to the markets of India and does have a long list of fan fare for the best quality products. A number of make-up items, cosmetics and perfumes adorn the brand image in India.

The brand runs by its mission to leave every woman happier and more beautiful. It is often called the brand that keeps writing the future of cosmetics in world. Some of the Lancome India’s best sellers for skin care are Visionnaire, Génifique, Absolue, Rénergie, Blanc expert, UV Expert. Some its best sellers for make-up are Hypnôse star, Hypnôse Doll Eyes, Hypnôse, L’Absolu Rouge, Rouge in Love, Teint Miracle, Teint Idole Ultra 24h. Some of the brand’s best sellers for fragrance are La vie est belle, Trésor, Ô, Hypnôse. On being asked why he created the brand Lancome, Armand Petitjean replied: Because I had seen that two American brands has taken control of the beauty industry. A French brand should be up alongside them. His perseverance now has taken the brand as one of the top names in the beauty industry.
