How do you cook great crabs for dinner?

Are you a fan of crabs and the other crustaceans in the sea?

There are various ways to cook crab and since i come from Singapore where the famed chilli crab is from, i will be talking a little bit about the crabs we have here in Singapore, where to source for them and how to prepare them for the great party that you might want to have for your friends and family during the weekend in the comfort of your home!

Firstly you need to know where to buy live crabs in Singapore, there are various suppliers of live seafood and crab towkay is one of our favourite ones because you do not have to go down to the wholesaler or supplier to get it, they will deliver live seafood of premium quality to your doorstep, all you need to do is just order using the phone or their website and you are done!

Next you need to find out how you want to prepare it and prepare the ingredients, there are ways such as chilli, black pepper, butter sauce or just purely steam it. Each flavour has its strength, for the purist, steaming it gives the best taste because you get to try it raw as to how the meat will taste like. For someone who loves things spicy and chilli and black pepper sauce is a great option for you and your family.

We prefer chilli crab so we would prepare the chilli sauce easily using one of the off the shelf chilli crab recipes and cook it together with the live crab from crab towkay and we will be ready to serve them.

You should also note that to cook great crabs, the crab has to be live before you start cooking them as the meat will start to spoil very soon after you it is dead and you have very little precious time to work on it! It won’t taste good if you get a dead one
