Web design has moved away from information overload to simplicity. The trend is continuing in 2016. Taking inspiration from magazines, web pages are using large high-definition photographs and typography to lure in readers with eye-pleasing openers before revealing further content.

Here are a few web design trends-

Minimalism-

Websites have started focusing on the actual content and reducing all the clutter around it like footers, sidebars and borders. The color palettes are also being simplified as company's are focusing more on one color for visual appeal.

App like menus

With the app market in mind, a responsive web design company will change more than just the asthetics. This has in turn affected the way web illustrators organize the content. The sidebars and sticky menus have fallen out to make room for content readers actually want to see. Now-a-days, menus are at the top of the screen and are mostly hidden. They only appear once you scroll down.

Ghost buttons

Web sites have moved away from flashy, loud buttons to simple and transparent button. These buttons are less obstructive and help highlight the content to the readers. Ghost buttons include just the outline of the button and the word.

Hero images

Hero images have not gone anywhere but have evolved. Last year, websites all across the globe features high definition images featured at the top of a website stretched to the entire width of the page and has just a few words of text displyed on it.

Interesting typography

Once the hero image became popular, the responsive e-commerce design agency started concentrating more on typography. Picking a font is as crucial as writing a content as it attracts customers. Font usually catches the customers eye.

Single page design

These days nobody wants to click through pages. Instead of this, users would prefer to scroll through one long page rather than travel from one page to another. This trend has also appeared looking at mobile web surfing as it is easier to scroll down with your thumb than to click through multiple pages.

Parallax scrolling

The users find it easier with parallax scrolling as it is a way of making websites more engaging. Parallax scrolling creates a three dimensional illusion.

Now that we are half way through in 2016, lets see which new trends will the web desingers adopt in 2017.
