Established since the 18th century, Cai Be floating market forms the border between three provinces including Vinh Long, Ben Tre and Tien Giang. As the oldest floating market in Tien Giang, Cai Be attracts tourists by a criss-cross of boats. Additionally, it look likes the watercolor painting created by bumper-to-bumper gardens, streets along the two banks of the riverbelow lines of water coconut and B?n tree – a typical tree in the Mekong delta tours. Besides, there are plenty of kinds of commodities ranging from fruit to poultry, seafood; and even household commodities and textiles are also sold here. If you would like to buy a gift here for your family or friends, you can choose sweet mandarin, coconut candy or coconut soap, a specialty in Cai Be. The market meeting only runs between 2 a.m and 8 a.m; therefore, you should come here on time to attend the market meeting.

Long Xuyen Floating Market

2 kilometer far from the city center, although not as famous as the two markets, Long Xuyen floating market draws the attention of tourists by the generosity of the local people.

In Long Xuyen floating market, tourists will see many types of farm produce such as vegetables, cabbage, pumpkin, potatoes, etc and numerous kinds of fruit involving bananas, grapefruit, oranges, mandarin, etc. In addition, you can be involved in the market anytime during the day. Besides the scene of doing business on boats of local people, tourists have opportunities to discover of daily life of the people in the Mekong Delta who have to deal with quite a few difficulties in the process of earning a living.
