I just completed my 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Rishikesh which was 28 days program. Yoga is a lifestyle now a days and off-course there is the best career opportunity for you. There is no shortage of the yoga schools in the world who are providing 200 hour Yoga TTC but which school will be a right training provider for you. I have been in the same situation and wanted to share few factors I considered while choosing a yoga teacher training for me.

I personally felt during my teacher training that how we can choose any school for a big decision of my life. I am going to spend almost a month for this as well as a huge money from my pocket I paid. Is this training was best for me. Is it?? Here are the few tips for choosing a best yoga teacher training program which will suit you according to you requirement.

  1. Is the school registered with Yoga Alliance. Yoga Alliance website gives you this opportunity to check the school status whether they are registered or not. Every teacher gives some rating to his school from where he got trained.
  2. The school you are choosing what kind of yoga they teach and is that the one you want to learn. There are so many types of yoga but which suits you? Hatha, Ashtanga, Ashtanga Vinyasa, Kundalini etc.
  3. Location of the school is the most important factor, it totally depends on your requirement and budget. Size of the class can also be a crucial factor in choosing the teacher training program. Lesser the size of the class, the interaction between the student and their yoga teachers increases.
  4. Who are the teachers and what is the curriculum. Do some research on the teacher, are they registered yoga teachers and what is the history.
  5. Cost and duration of the course, every one has their different budget and time. There are different -different price and duration for the same course depends on their facilities and location.
  6. Be clear about your intention, it will help you to choose a right training and right style of yoga for you.
  7. Know what their past students says about the school, you are going to spend many days there so it is very important to know about the facilities they are providing. See the accommodation, Food and other facilities you require.
  8. Does the school have a code of ethics for their teachers? Feel free to ask. You are going to spend a lots of money from your saving so you must be comfortable with the refund policy of the school.
