So in today’s world every 1 in 13 people globally suffer from an anxiety disorder mental and its very important to know the cause and the consequences of the same. To know how to cope with anxiety, firstly we have to understand what actually anxiety is?
Anxiety is common mental health problem –just as real and serious as physical disorders such as heart disease or diabetes. It is found that mostly young people suffer from anxiety and depression, which we don’t have to ignore, it is a condition in which a person feels sad, hopeless, unmotivated, discouraged in life.
Symptoms of anxiety
Symptoms which includes anxiety are
Panic attacks, sweating or feeling hot, elevated heart rate, quick breathing, nausea or sore stomach, feeling weak and fatigued, insomnia, and other physical symptoms are examples of anxiety symptoms.
Mental symptoms include nervousness, irritability, and tension, as well as poor mood and despair, persistent worry, and a need for reassurance from others.
What are the main types of anxiety?
There are many types of anxiety disorders like OCD(obsessive compulsive disorder), PTSD(posttraumatic stress disorder), separation anxiety etc. But here we talk about only four :-
- Generalised Anxiety disorder(GAD) :- It is the most frequent type of anxiety condition noticed in people. The majority of the time, people with GAD are nervous and worried. Relationships, sleeping, eating, and working are all affected. They frequently anticipate the worst-case scenario and struggle to manage their negative emotions.
- Social anxiety:- Social anxiety, often known as social phobia, is a condition in which people have a strong aversion to being in social situations and performing in front of others. Someone with social anxiety may be afraid of being laughed at, humiliated, attacked, or judged by others, even in situations that would not ordinarily cause concern.
- Panic disorder:- Shaking, heart palpitations, hyperventilation, and dizziness are common signs of a panic attack, which can strike out of nowhere. Sufferers have a paralysing terror that makes them feel as if they're about to faint out or die. To put your mind at ease, a panic attack cannot kill you. It's just that having a lot of anxiety might make you feel in danger.
- Phobias:- People often joke about having a fear, but phobias are a widespread sort of anxiety disease that should be handled seriously. When you have a phobia of anything, you are scared of it and will exaggerate any potential risk in your mind.
How to cope with it?
In these covid-19 situation where every other person feels mental illness and very necessary to cope with anxiety which affects our body and destroy mentally which is equal to physical illness. Here are some methods which might offer you calm and give little bit relax to your mind through some methods and they are:
