The Hills Are Alive 10k/5k - 5k Walk

The Hills Are Alive is the oldest and the finest trail race that is held in Southern California. The picturesque progression includes tracking on the City bridle and hiking trails, and the 10K comprises of an attractive circle across the South Coast Botanic Gardens. The Hills Are Alive Race takes place on an annual basis. It is basically a cross country event that is conducted on not very hard equestrian trails. The race is a 5K and 10K Run & 5K fun walk affair. The Race T-shirts are designed especially for this event. Gift bags are also arranged. The Race T-shirts and the gift bags are arranged according to the number of registrations and these are then given away after the Race. This will be followed by snacks, beverages and also an award ritual after the event. The main motive behind the race is to improve and conserve gardens, tracks, leisure programs and other facilities for usage by South Bay inhabitants and visitors. The trophies will be presented to the first three male and female finishers in the 10K Run and 5K Run. Medals will also be awarded to the first three male and female finishers for both races – 10K and 5K runs in each age division.

The City of Rolling Hills Estates feels proud to present the 33rd Annual "THE HILLS ARE ALIVE 5K-10K Walk/Run on 8th, August 2015 at 08:00 A.M. The race will begin and end at Ernie Howlett Park, Rolling Hills Estates, California, USA. You will be able to pick your race packet and register for the race event by visiting the village runner, 1811-A Catalina Ave., Redondo Beach on Friday, August 7th 2015 from 10 A.M.to 6 P.M else the race packets will be provided just before the race or the event begins. Call to book rolling hills cab and make yourself available to register for the event and avail the race packet.

You can have the entry forms online and also at RHE City Hall. You will have to pay $30.00 as the registration fees if you register in advance to participate in the event. But the same fees will rise to $40.00 if you register on the day of the event. You also have the option to get registered in person at RHE City Hall during the regular business hours, from Monday through Thursday from 7:30 A.M to 05:30 P.M.
