Testing and Calibration Methods based on ISO/IEC 17025 Requirements

Accreditation is a process intended to ensure your customers that you have demonstrated technical expertise to provide test results or reliable and accurate calibration. Accreditation is objective because a third independent organization of the party accreditation conducts annual assessments to check whether your system meets all the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025. This independent evaluation is important to the customer, because it is an objective guarantee that your laboratory is performing at its highest level.
The accreditation body is responsible for evaluating the quality system and technical aspects of your system to determine your compliance with the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025 is the accreditation body which ultimately decides if a laboratory is in conformity with the standard.
Methods for the Test and Calibration Process:
A standard method is defined as a written procedure by a body that has the power to write standards. Standard methods should be followed without modification to be referenced as a standard method in the scope of accreditation. The publication date is not on the scope of accreditation where the standard methods are used; the current version must be used unless a legal or regulatory obligation requires the use of a superseded or withdrawn release.
Choice of methods: When a test can be performed by more than one method, it must be documented method of the selection criteria. Where appropriate, the degree of correlation between the methods is to be established and documented.
Methods developed in the laboratory: Accreditation for draft standards is not available. Facilities can, however, be accredited for these methods if they are documented and validated as in the test methods of the house.
Estimation of measurement uncertainty: The requirements for indicating calibration and measurement capability (CMC) in a field of accreditation systems can be found in the calibration document for accreditation.
Measurement traceability: For calibration activities or reported results for use in support of the continued dissemination of metrological traceability, the criteria provided in ISO / IEC 17025 documents for calibration.
