About 112-12:
The EC-Council Security5 certification is an industry recognized vendor neutral credential. The certification is proof of a person's competence across a spectrum of skills including empowering information needed to securely compute, network efficiently and be in control of his computing environment.
Introduction:
The purpose of the CSCU exam is to provide students with the necessary knowledge and skills to protect their information assets. It validates the acquisition of fundamental understanding of various computer and network security threats such as identity theft, credit card fraud, online banking phishing scams, virus and backdoors, emails hoaxes, sex offenders lurking online, loss of confidential information, hacking attacks and social engineering. More importantly, the skills gained during the exam’s preparation helps students to take the necessary steps to mitigate their security exposure.
Exam Details:
This exam is delivered by EC-Council Exam Portal. The exam type is proctored and composed of 50 questions. The Passing score is 70% and the time allotted to attempt all the questions is 2 hours. The format of test is multiple choice questions.
Targeted Audience:
Anyone can apply. The only limitation is age. The age requirement for attending the training or attempting the exam is restricted to any candidate that is at least 18 years old.
If the candidate is under the age of 18, they are not eligible to attend the official training or eligible to attempt the certification exam unless they provide the accredited training center/EC-Council a written consent of their parent/legal guardian and a supporting letter from their institution of higher learning. Only applicants from nationally accredited institution of higher learning shall be considered.
