In an android phone, it is noticed that it sometimes becomes slower, so to boost up your device follow these steps to get it running like brand new phone.

Clear the Cache

If an app crashes on a regular basis and you go for force-closing or uninstalling it, instead try to clear its cache. This step can solve most of the issues that the apps may be experiencing and is better than forcing the app for force shut down. To clear an application's cache, open the Settings menu on your phone and tap Applications then select Manage Applications and click the particular app and simply clear its cache.

Uninstall Apps

Check for apps you don't use or need and are just lying in your android device.

Keep some free space on memory card

Cleaning out your SD Card may not boost your phone's performance, but is recommended to remove unused files that are just eating up the space on your memory card by using any app or by manually deleting it.

Some apps may also let you freeze or remove apps that came preinstalled on your phone, so that you can finally get rid of the annoying app that always asks for updates

Never use organic reagents or alcohol to clean the touch screen. These substances damage the phone. Use a screen protector for scratches and dirt.

Backing up your phone

A backup is a safe deposit of the necessary data on your phone. It includes contacts, music, photos, videos, and apps that you’ve downloaded or installed. Making a copy of this information to another source is always recommended to keep your data safe, in case of any physical damage to your phone or if your phone is stolen.

You can backup your data in your Google account. This information includes your Contacts list, emails and chats and Calendar app appointments, mostly Android phones automatically sync these information with the Internet, a backup is always present.

Updating the System

New version of android OS becomes available every now and then, whenever an update occurs, an alert or a message appears on the phone, indicating that a system upgrade is available.

  • Some phones can be updated only by using the specific program on a computer. You can attempt to upgrade the phone by itself or connect the phone to a computer running those programs for upgrade.

  • Manually checking of updates: Open Settings app, tap About Phone or About Device, open System Updates and tap Check Now button.
