Interiors
The cabin of the X5 is luxurious and cozy, with premium leather upholstery and leather finished instrument panel. The cabin is fitted with automatic air conditioning, with rear air-vents, for effective control of temperature inside. The front row seats are electrically adjustable and come with a memory function, as well, apart from the separate heated function on the front seats, provided by BMW. Inside rear-view mirrors come with an anti-dazzle function and gear shift paddles are provided for easy gear-change, just behind the 3-spoke leather steering wheel. The plush feel of the cabin is accentuated by the other fittings inside, like Harman-Kardon surround sound audio system, BMW Apps, BMW head up display with M view, Bluetooth with audio streaming, USB connectivity, iDrive Touch with handwriting recognition including 25.9 cm color display, DVD and integrated hard drive for maps and audio files. The ease of driving is also given a great importance, with the rear view camera, navigation system and parking distance controller for front and back.
Exteriors
The X5 is a typical athletic, sports vehicle, but with a royal look. The bonnet is tough looking and just below it, is the double kidney grille, the standard feature of all BMW cars, which is finished in black. Just next to the grille on either side, are the headlight cluster, incorporated with powerful LED headlamps and daytime lights. The lower portion of the body colored bumper is incorporated with fog lamps and air vents. The ORVMs on either side are foldable electrically and have an anti-dazzle and memory function. The sunroof on the top is the most exquisite feature of this car. Rain sensing wipers are fitted onto the car.
