Various Types of Exercises That Can Be Done On Multi Gym Equipment
The multi gym provides most of the conveniences that a conventional gym can offer, but in the comfort of your home. It makes sense to invest in high-quality multi gym equipment if you have the space for it and if you prefer to train at home. A lot of multi gyms come with many different weight machines and dual functions, so you can perform numerous moves and exercises with just one piece of equipment. Here are some exercises that you can try:
- Exercises that can build muscle – Use high resistance settings or add more weight, then do the exercises slowly. After lifting a weight, resist the machine and avoid letting it drop sooner. This way, you can let your muscle work.
Heavier weights may bulk you up, but do not worry about that because once you achieve the size that you want by reducing the frequency of resistance workouts or lessening the amount of weights or resistance. Begin with around 60 percent of your maximum resistance for every exercise and do eight to 12 reps. Add more resistance if your muscles do not feel sore after finishing the reps.
- Toning exercises – Find a resistance level that will let you build muscle without causing you to get tired easily. Like low resistance aerobic or cardio workouts, toning exercise can provide the best results when moderate resistance is used and when you quickly move from one exercise to another. Go for a 30-second circuit training pattern, but consider repeating every exercise three times for specific areas, like around your thighs and under your arms. If there is an incline, use the bench to work your abdominal muscles.
- Cardiovascular workouts – A multi gym can be handy when you do not have a treadmill or any other machine that can help you do aerobic exercises. A high-rep and low-resistance workout with a multi gym should raise your heart rate as efficiently as when you run or do brisk walking for 30 minutes.
Try various resistance levels to find the one that is just right for repetitive, 30-second exercises for 30 minutes or more. Make sure the exercises do not make you feel sore to the point that you have to stop halfway through the workout. Remember to take a quick break after each 30-second exercise before moving on to the next one.
Use triceps extensions and cable kickbacks to work out the back of your arms. To work out your thighs, stand beside the multi gym and attach the cables to your legs to move them outward and then back. You can pull down a bar behind your head to work your shoulders. If your bench moves, do a steady-state rowing workout by kneeling or sitting on it.
