ProXR SERIES CONTROLLER
The latest generation of relay controllers developed at "controlanything.co.in" is the "ProXR
Series". It is an extremely powerful and reliable relay control board. ProXR controller has
enabled the users to control a numerous amount of devices with the help of relay control
boards that can be operated from a farther distance with the assistance of a computer, tablet
or smartphone. The relay board of ProXR version can be expanded to accommodate upto 256
relays through one port. The ProXR Series Controllers include an XR Expansion port,
allowing the user to add additional banks of relays, directly to the main controller.
XR Expansion port is used to chain relay controllers together, making it easy to add relay
banks as the need of the user grows. A large line of relay expansion boards are available,
which can be readily attached to the XR port of the controller. The user can add all types of
relay expansion banks in any combination to the ProXR series controllers. The ProXR Series
Controllers support two-way communication for confirming the receipt of commands and for
reporting the status of the relays back to the host computer.
Using as little as two wires the ProXR Series Controllers can be connected to a computer or
microcontroller. During the usage of controller in one-way mode, reporting should be turned
off for highest communication speed. Turning off reporting will allow the user to send
commands to the ProXR Series Controllers much faster, but it is impossible to ask the
controller for the status of relays when wired. Reporting Mode is activated by sending ASCII
character codes 254, 27. Reporting Mode is deactivated by sending ASCII character codes
254, 28.
Multiple devices can be connected to a single serial port and controlled individually. Before
using the wired configuration each device must be programmed with a unique device number.
Once a device number has been stored into each controller this wiring configuration may be
used to control up to 256 different relay boards or other devices in any combination. Two
way communication to multiple devices is supported by these relay controllers by using the
RSB serial port. Jumpers must be set for Open Collector data transmission.
The ProXR Series controllers have 16 user-programmable timers. Each independent timer
can be assigned to any relay, and can be programmed to hold the relay in the On state, or to
pulse the relay at the end of the timer. The ProXR timing features are ideally suited for
Watchdog, Keep Alive, and Server Reboot applications, as well as sprinkler systems, gate
openers, and day/night lighting applications. The ProXR controller supports a huge set of
commands which facilitate various switching applications of relays.
With the advent of this technology nine different wired and wireless interfaces were evolved
to send commands to the board. These nine interfaces entail RS232, Ethernet, Bluetooth,
USB, Web, 802.15.4, Wi-Fi, Fiber optic and ZigBee Mesh interface. The interface adjudge
