Digital Screens to the Rescue of Advertising, and Your Business

Imagine yourself travelling through a busy lane in your city and you don’t notice a billboard that had a very good offer and that is it. You missed a moment of a lifetime, maybe a sale or a holiday package or just about anything but whose fault is it that you missed? It was because you might be busy looking at the glowing board besides it saying there’s a pub down the lane. Digital screens have always caught our eyes and though it might have made us lose some big deals, one thing is for sure: Digital Advertising screens are here to stay.

What are we talking about?

These screens we talk about here are the types of advertising that are displayed in the medium of LCDs, LEDs or signage. For the ones who still didn’t get it, these are the glow-in-the-night billboards, hoardings and displays that shine and make you avoid the important “drive safely” sign board on the road. These forms make use of digital mediums such as the displays mentioned above and use it to display advertisement of companies, brands and just about anything that needs marketing – and that means almost each and everything.

Those flashy things we talkin’ about?

If we talk about the screens here, they have a lot of advantages apart from the obvious: not getting torn. Digital forms use different types of display techniques, something unusual in case of conventional form. LCDs have slides to display that may be set on Auto-slide option and the slides may show product or the service one wishes to promote. LEDs are the small lights that you see atop buildings and on modern billboards across the city. They are hundreds to thousands of small lights that work collectively to display products in the form of design and you may also display text on it. Signages are screen displays that contain a roll of sheets that rotate vertically or horizontally to display different each advertisement effectively.

Weren’t those the best times?

Digital screens have a huge advantage over conventional forms of adverts in the sense that they are not only reusable but also very attractive. Mostly billboards, in their stone-age era, are made of paper or such kind of materials that are printed upon. Once printed, these materials become useless and have no work later, especially if they are related to a specific event such as a sale. Forget specificity, they tend not to last longer because the material eventually gets torn due to various reasons such as heavy rainfall, strong air currents, prolonged exposure to sunlight, etc. Even if they do not get torn after a good time, which is a rare possibility, even then they won't be of any use because the color may have faded as the case is, usually.

So this is the new age advertisement?

LEDs and LCDs easily make heads turn due to their vibrancy and creativity of the ad-pros. In the case of signage, one may wonder how it can save costs if it includes sheets that are printed. True that a signage uses such material but the best part of a signage is that the material is encased in a screen box, thereby protecting it from sunlight and other detrimental factors. However, not only signage but even the rest of the forms of digital advertising screens (DAS) are re-usable and make for just a one-time investment. Once bought, all you need to do is get 3 posters printed for the signage, and leave the rest to ad experts to create attractive ads. All in all, it may be said that DAS are an economical choice as compared to the conventional forms where one needs to get a cloth or material printed every time for a new advert.
