IPowerWeb is a web hosting company that was founded in late 2001. It is currently one of the largest in the industry. They also consider themselves as one of the top ten in customer base, something that should be true considering they are one of the pioneers. They currently have over 220, 000 web hosting customers worldwide. What they offer is so simple, and they were also involved in marketing campaigns on the internet that drove sales upwards. The problem is that somewhere along the way, they started to experience problems with its customer service.

IPowerWeb Web Hosting Features

The pricing structure of iPowerWeb is such that users get great value at a small cost. At $7.95 per month, you will get a complete web hosting package with 50GB of traffic and 3000 MB of storage space. This includes a number of features like FrontPage support, MySQL and PHP. In general terms, you would say that iPowerWeb offers you premium web hosting accounts, at only $7.95 monthly. This is good enough when you consider you also get support via live chat.

The only problem is that when you are an average user, you do not access the toll free support. If you are a user who requires asp, iPowerWeb now offers Windows web hosting, but you will have to pay an additional $2 per month, including 400MB of space and free set up.

Initially iPowerWeb used to use cPanel 5 for their customers; in fact their old customers are still on this cPanel. However, as their client base grew, they found it impractical to use third party control panel software. They then chose to custom make their own called Vdeck. This is a control panel that is quite simple, when compared to other advanced panels. This custom made panel makes it easy for iPowerWeb to fix bugs and add features without having to contact the software developers.

In terms of their service, their uptime is quite reliable with the server only being down a few hours in a year. Their servers are also above average.

There are not many complaints when it comes to iPowerWeb hosting services. Most clients are happy with what they get in terms of customer service and uptime. This is not to say there are no problems. At least most clients agree that they are taken care of in case of such instances.
