SBI Released 2200 SBI PO Notification
The wait is finally over as State Bank of India (SBI), one of the oldest Public Sector banks in India, has released its recruitment notification for Probationary Officers. Nearly 2,200 (including backlog and reserved) vacancies have been announced. So, for all those wishing to secure high paying jobs in this Government bank, the time has come to pull up your socks and get ready to apply and start preparing.

Online Registration:May 4 to 24, 2016
Preliminary Exam:July 2, 3, 9 and 10, 2016
Main Exam:July 31, 2016
Final results:September 30, 2016
Eligibility Criteria
Graduates (or completing the graduation before 31.8.2016)
Age between 21-30 years as on April 1, 2016 (Relaxations: OBC- 3 years, SC/ST- 5 years)
So far not taken SBI PO Exam for more than 3 times (for General), 6 times (for OBC) and no limit (for SC/ST)
Here, it should be noted that the notification mentions that if by any chance, aspirants are found to be loan defaulters, they would not be considered for the SBI PO recruitment.
Selection Procedure
The selection process of SBI consists of 3 phases:
Phase 1: Preliminary Examination
Phase 2: Main Examination
Phase 3: Group Discussion and Personal Interview
Phase 1:Preliminary Examination of SBI PO 2016 will be an objective test for 100 marks which will be conducted online. These marks will not be added to the final score. This test will be of 1 hour duration consisting of 3 sections as follows:
Phase 2: The Main Examination of SBI PO 2016 Exam consists of 2 sections:
Objective test for 200 marks with time duration of three hours and
Descriptive test for 50 marks with time duration of 30 minutes.
Both the objective and descriptive tests will be conducted online. In objective test of Main Exam of SBI Bank PO Exam, there will be four sections namely, English Language; General Awareness, Marketing & Computer; Data Analysis & Interpretation and Reasoning with equal weightage i.e., 50 marks. Immediately after completion of the objective test, descriptive test will be administered. The descriptive test will be for 30 minutes duration with 50 marks. It will be a test of English Language. Descriptive Test papers of only those candidates will be evaluated who score qualifying marks in the objective test.
Phase 3: Based on the marks secured in Phase 2, candidates will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview and the final selection will be announced considering the scores in Phase 2 and 3.
