Your body requires B12 vitamins in order for the cells to work properly in your body. Vitamin B12 also helps in the formation of red blood cells. When you are deficient in vitamin B12 it can lead to anemia. Vitamin B12 helps to improve your metabolism rate, and helps to maintain the central nervous system. The natural sources of B12 are generally found in animal products such as meat, fish, milk, etc. To make up for the loss of this vitamin in your body your physician may require that you have B12 vitamin injections. They are given by your physician and can be very painful along with having several side effects.
Although there can be negative symptoms from the B12 vitamin injection it is useful for the body and the injections are non-toxic. Even if you are required to take them in a large amount most people do not face any problems, including little to no side effects. The side effects that are associated with these injections range from minor to severe. If you have any heart problems or history of blood clotting inform your physician before receiving the injection. With a history of blood clotting even one single side effect sometimes can be fatal.
