The Three Types Of Longitudinal Welding Machine:

  • PAW is designed for galvanized steel sheet with thickness of 1.5-4mm. This provides full-penetration welding one time, and also zinc on GI will be blown away and not stick to Tungsten rod with PAW.
  • MIG is available below 4mm without opening groove. It could be penetrated fully by one time. These are used in Liquefied petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinder, Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) cylinder, porcelain enamel tank-inner tank and large scale cryogenic storage tank for various applications.
  • TIG, on the other hand is available below 4mm without groove. It can penetrate fully one time welding for plate. Designed for straight line, linear welding applications, it is the ideal seam quality which is easier to polish than that of MIG welding.

Longitudinal seam welding machine is composed of a body, work piece positioning mechanism, welding torch longitudinal running mechanism, work piece pressing mechanism, torch lifting and adjusting mechanism. It requires work pieces positioning and centering by pneumatic, pneumatic keys and welding position cannot offset. The welding torch pneumatic moves up and down and therefore, the work piece is fixed and seam is flat. Welding torch can be up, down, left and right, forward and backward and various other angles adjusted in order to meet the welding requirements.

The welding form can be preset, stored and transferred through the man-machine interface. It can easily change the parameter and state transition. The whole machine is controlled by PLC and the AC variable frequency speed regulation ensures the equipment reliability. On the other hand copper backing strap ensures reverse side forming.
