Difference between Traditional and Gel Nail Paint

  • The traditional nail paint can be dried off self, like by placing your hands in the cold water or leave it for almost half an hour, it will dry. While, the gel nail paint is to be dried under the beam of UV light.
  • The other is the difference of staying in the appropriate position. The traditional nail polish will last for 1-2 week and the gel nail paint for 2-3 or sometimes 4 weeks also.

  1. The traditional nail manicure is started with the cleaning of your nails. Further, the manicurist applies a clear base coat and then allows it to dry. After few seconds, the nail color is applied, approximately 2-3 coats. Further, the clear top coat is applied finally and then dry using hand dryer. You can remove it nail polish remover.
  2. Whereas, the gel nail paints use the UV light technique. After applying the base coat or the main color or the top coat, each time you have to place your nails under UV lamp to dry the gel paint. Actually, it contains the polymers, which gets harden under the UV light. And, finally to dry it, also UV light is used. But, yes, it immediately dries off and lasts for 2-3 weeks. To remove it, it is pretty better to visit the salon.
