SAP Hybris Implementaion with hybris Commerce Suite 5.5 for Ecommerce Business
The hybris commerce suite is an important part of the SAP Customer Engagement & Commerce portfolio. Many versions have been released so far. With each release of hybris Commerce Suite, you will find more and more new features and functionalities, enhancements, bug fixes and integrations with SAP different modules which are adopted for hybris implementation. The latest version is hybris commerce suite 5.7, which has come up with some innovative hybris features, which help in providing enterprise ecommerce solutions.
The latest 5.7 update has a clear objective on unifying the commerce experience. Earlier B2B and B2C functionalities were separated in different accelerators. In this 5.7 version, for a proper hybris implementation, it contains a B2B module that can be implemented in a B2C storefront. In other words, both B2B and B2C scenarios can be integrated in a single user interface. According to ecommerce specialists or hybris partners, the hybris commerce suite with the B2B module contains features like personalized pricing, approval workflow quotes, order templates and punch-out catalogue.
There are many new functionalities in 5.7 version, which are integrated in the SAP CEC landscape. These are as:
- Single customer record in Cloud 4 Customer (C4C). This is the Cloud CRM from SAP. In this way, the enterprise owners get a 360° view on the customer.
- There is the catalogue data from hybris which is also available in C4C.
- There is an advanced Order Management Service (OMS) module.
- You also get a new Data Hub version and more communication is possible between hybris marketing and hybris commerce.
Prominent functionalities
Datahub: The main tool added is datahub. Here, SAP ERP will remain the master data but will also include the asynchronous replication of newly or modified materials, customers, conditions, contacts and inventory from SAP ERP to hybris. Experts involved in hybris consulting say that the SAP hybris integration with the data hub provides solutions to convert the SAP ERP customer data model to a corresponding setup in hybris. Now there can be multiple addresses on a b2b unit for multiple partners which will facilitate multiple sales.
Order Management: The order management integration scenario has two new added features: (a) Asynchronous, available for the B2B and B2C. It uses the same interface scenario as in data hub which is based on the order management functionality in hybris. (b) Synchronous, only available for the B2B setup. This is used to retrieve information at runtime, like as customer specific prices, credit limit check, ATP check and helps to create standard SD orders from hybris Commerce Suite.
