XAT exams- opportunity for a successful career
XAT is Xavier aptitude test, it is a national level MBA exams conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur. This is a test based on paper and pencil and will be taken by many candidates all over India a measured to be very difficult in terms of level and competitiveness. XLRI conducts XAT on behalf of XAMI at all India level to select the most desirable students for management education. The XAT marks are recognized by all leading institutes for the admission process.
Registration procedure for XAT 2017
- Click on xatonline.net.in and create a new account with your email id and after receiving the XAT id then create your own password for the further use.
- Select the appropriate city, write your name, upload your latest photograph and signature and save it
- Then select citizenship and also fill the preliminary information like name, DOB, gender, father’s name etc
- Then fill your permanent address and your educational qualification from class tenth.
- If you have any work experience then fill the related information regarding your job
Mode of payments
Candidates interested in XAT 2017 and not in XLRI should pay rs 1600 as a fee and if interested in XLRI should pay an extra fee of rs 300 each. There are three modes of payments
- Online payment through VISA or master or debit card
- Payment by cash by taking printout of XAT pay in slip visit IDBI bank for payment
- Payment by demand draft in favor of XLRI Jamshedpur a/c
Eligibility for XAT 2016
- Candidates should be sure to know about eligibility for XAT 2017,
- Candidates applying of XAT 2017 should have a bachelor degree of at least three years or equivalent from a recognized authority
- Candidates appeared in final exams of June 2017 are also eligible
- Foreign candidates and NRI can apply via GMAT mark sheet
- Candidates should have a minimum of 50 % marks in graduation
XAT 2017 exam pattern and syllabus
XAT exams will be conducted in two portions the first portion consists of 78 questions from verbal’ logical and decision making and quantitative ability and data interpretation and second paper consists of 25 questions general knowledge and one essay topic for essay writing. Students will get total 170 minutes for first paper and 35 minutes for the second one. Candidates are allowed to leave 13 unattempted questions but after that 0.05 marks will be deducted on every unattempted question.

Tips to prepare for XAT 2017
The key factor for the goof preparation is a good study plan which every student should consider. Plan your studies as per your timetable and rest intervals too. Choose right books and also try to solve the previous year's question papers, it will help you to understand the pattern and you will also get to know about the time limit under which you have to complete the full exam.
